Pro wrestling has mostly been dominated by men. With talent such as Hulk Hogan and Ric Flair being the names that people relate to pro wrestling, many fans forget that women have existed in pro wrestling as long as the men. Things are changing very fast! Promotions are popping up everywhere that are dedicated to strictly or mostly women wrestlers. Companies like Shimmer Athletics, Shine, and Ice Ribbon in Japan have shown women can bring it as equals, or in some cases, better than their men counterparts. Below are five of the best women talent from the United States, Australia , and Japan. Even though this is not a list entirely, these women have made a positive impact on their sport and made people realize that women wrestling is truly awesome and better than what you see in WWE and TNA.

Athena, The Wrestling Goddess

Athena is best known for her phenomenal finisher, the “O-Face”, a top rope ace crusher! Think of it as a “Stone Cold Stunner” except that Athena starts from the top rope and grabs her opponent (who is standing on the canvas) in mid air and stuns them. The crowds go nuts for this finisher! Athena was trained by World Class Championship Wrestling manager Skandar Akbar and five time WCW World Champion and now WWE Hall of Famer Booker T. Athena travels to various independent companies throughout the United States like Shimmer Athletics and Anarchy Championship Wrestling where she won the “Queen of Queens” tournament.

Sara Del Rey

She was coined “Death Rey” by friend C.M. Punk. Sara is a unique character who faces both men and women. She began her career in Japan and Mexico and returned to the United States in 2005 to wrestle for Shimmer Athletics in their inaugural show. She and Mercedes Martinez fought to a time limit draw. In 2006, Sara traveled to Pennsylvania to Chikara to face The Osirian Portal (Amasis and Ophidian) with her tag team partner Daizee Haze. This was her first official woman vs man match in wrestling. Sara toured various companies including Ring of Honor, Jersey All- Pro, and TNA wrestling. Most recently, Sara was signed to a WWE contract as a trainer for their NXT brand show.

Awesome Kong

Whether it be awesome or amazing, Kong is a diva destroyer in womens wrestling. Standing almost six feet tall and over two hundred and seventy pounds, Kong is a dominating force in any pro wrestling company. She began her career in 2002 in Japan facing the best talent in womens wrestling. She returned to the United States in 2006 and became the cornerstone of the TNA Knockouts division. She returned to the independent circuit soon after and faced competition from Shimmer Athletics, Ring of Honor, American Wrestling Association, National Wrestling Alliance, and a few smaller companies before landing in the WWE.

Kong signed on December 29, 2010 and started vignettes on April 11, 2011. On April 25th, she was introduced as “Kharma”! She debuted at the “Extreme Rules” Pay-Per-View on May 1st attacking Michelle McCool. Kharma began attacking all of the divas during the next few weeks, blasting each one, except Kelly Kelly. On May 23rd episode of Raw, she ran to the ring during the women’s tag team match, fell to her knees, and began to cry. The next week, Kharma revealed she was pregnant and had to take a leave of absence. She returned at Royal Rumble 2012 and eliminated Hunico before being eliminated by Dolph Ziggler. Kong has since returned to pro wrestling for Chikara and Resistance Pro where she finishes opponents with her wicked “Implant Buster”, a lifting double underhook facebuster!

Melanie Cruise

Talk about making the best out of an opportunity! Melanie Cruise has torn through the women’s division in Resistance Pro, the new wrestling company owned by Billy Corgan. She’s had a great feud with Nikki St. John over the women’s championship. She’s now in the position to face current women’s champion Awesome Kong in a battle of the best in the division. Melanie debuted for POWW (Powerful Women of Wrestling) on April 26, 2008. She first appeared in Shimmer at Sparkle Volume 21 where she defeated Cherry Bomb to earn a spot on the main roster. As a relative newcomer to the sport, Melanie has been the focus of Resistance Pro’s women division and has been given tons of talking and promo time to build her character and the fans have stood behind her. Her finisher is the “Cruise Control”, a standing thrust spinebuster, leading her to the top of the company.

Kana

Kanako Urai, also known as Kana in the Japanese and American rings is known for her stiff style with combination kicks and vicious submissions. She debuted for the AtoZ on June 16, 2004. She worked there for a few years until being forced to retire due to Nephritis, a inflammation of the Nephrons in the kidneys. She made her comeback on September 22, 2007 for Ice Ribbon, Joshi, and an assorted number of smaller federations as a free agent. She debuted in the United States on August 3, 2011 in Shimmer Athletics. She defeated Mia Yim in a great match. Kana’s finishers including Billiken (running hip attack), Kanagon (grounded dragon sleeper), and the Kana Lock (crossface chickenwing).

Women’s sports are a lot of things.  They are fun to watch and show amazing feats of strength and skill.  They are usually played a bit slower than men’s sports (take women’s field hockey vs. men’s for instance) and they are almost always given second billing to their male counterparts.

Set aside the amazing talent, strength, dedication and skill developed by these women, and the relatively small paychecks they yield for the same amount of work vs. their male compatriots.  Instead, just for a minute, let’s look at the best reasons to watch these skilled and amazing women.

They are hot.

So which sports tend to have the highest likelihood of sexy, attractive, fit, and, well, hot women?  Here are our choices.

Top Track and Field Bodies

For almost every event, hands down, these women rock the tight and skimpy uniforms, the sleek and lean muscles, and the faces that just won’t quit.  Some of the top examples of track stars at their best include, (in no particular order):

Michelle Jenneke, an Australian Hurdler best known for her warm up dance as she waits for the “on your marks” command in the London Olympic Trials.

Paraguayan model and athlete Leryn Dahiana Franco Steneri, a javelin thrower from the Beijing Olympics,

Ebba Jungmark, Swedish and High Jumper.  Enough said.

Lolo Jones a USA Track Hurdler and a household name from both the London Olympics and her previous attempt at a gold in the Beijing games.

Top Beach Volleyball Bodies

The Brazilian Beach Volleyball team alone was a great reason  to watch the Olympics.  Add in their usual scanty attire and you have a win-win as you watch these ladies play a skilled game with lots of air and amazing saves.

Other top female volleyball stars include Czech Marketa Slukova and Italian Marta Menegatti.

Can Attracting Women Be Learned?

I think a fundamental question faced by men in the pursuit of attracting women is: Can attracting women be learned? Is it a result of genetics – of having been gifted with prominent cheekbones, lean muscularity or a sizable organ? Or perhaps having a prominent checkbook and the right surname? Is it about having a naturally outgoing personality, charisma, and sharp wit? Or perhaps possession of influence and personal power?

As complex as women are, there is no one answer to explain their preferences. As individuals, they, like we, are different – with different genetics, different experiences, and therefore, different tastes. And it’s been said – there’s no accounting for taste. So, it may be true that to some women, height and good looks matter a lot. Some schools of thought say that women value financial security more. Others say that personality, masculinity, sense of humor, or any of a variety of different criteria matters most.

And so, the questions must of necessity be: Is it possible to attract women, and if so, can any man do it? And will it work with ANY woman specifically? The answer is yes, and no.

Yes, in the sense that it is possible to attract the kind of women that you like, and who would like you in return, but whom you need to actively attract to you. This requires you to learn the techniques for attracting women, and actively engaging in the pursuit. Sitting at home simply won’t do; you have to go out and approach them. Attracting women involves the application of learned skills in a consistent and persistent fashion. Just like any skill, it’s all about practice and playing the probabilities. You simply have to keep approaching women.

When you play the numbers, however, remember that your chances of winning can be enhanced by other things besides the application of the techniques. Some of your strengths can be emphasized, and your weaknesses downplayed. For example, age differential, or shortness, or obesity may hinder you to some extent, but should not stop you. Instead, play to your strengths, and remember that women’s preferences are not all the same. If you persist, you WILL succeed in attracting women.

However, it is not possible to attract all women, or just any specific one. If there were a specific woman that you wanted to attract, but who is simply not interested or attracted to you, no skill or technique or persistence is guaranteed to work. History is replete with stories of unrequited love – of men who thought that they can make a woman want them. If they had simply tried to attract other women instead, and kept persisting, they would have been met with success.

So, in sum, yes, attracting women can be learned. Will it always work? No. But if it allows you to attract the women you want, and who want you in return, isn’t it worth it to try?

When you use best of the relationship texts you’ll be focusing on memories… good memories. So you’ll be asking your ex to remember something positive and fun, and you’ll be directing that memory in their mind.

For example, “Remember that time we raced those Go Karts at the county track? You were so excited when you bumped my rear and made me spin out so you could pass me and beat me. Brat. It was a blast though and you looked good with your cute little racer’s helmet.”

Just remember to focus on fun, happy, and pleasurable experiences to direct your ex into thinking positive thoughts about you.

Recently I wrote an article, which I hope helped you, in your search for something to do on that awkward first date. Then it dawned on me that maybe I should have followed up that information with a list of things NOT to do on a first date. So guys here it is:

The Men’s Guide of Things Never to do on a First Date.

1. Don’t be late. Of course we would understand if something happened out of your control which caused you to be late. If that’s the case just give us a quick call or text so that we know we are not being stood up and that you are ok. If you are a bit late, don’t inundate us with excuse after excuse. Apologize and move on!

2. Don’t dress the wrong way. I know women can be a bit catty when it comes to how her date is dressed. Guys, just dress for the activity of the date…don’t overdress don’t underdress. Make sure you are on the same page with your date on what you are doing so she knows what to wear. It can be a bit uncomfortable if we are dressed up and you show up in jeans and a t-shirt. On a side note guys, I recently read an interesting article in the Journal of Experimental Psychology that I thought might help you. The article stated that a recent study found that the color red makes men appear more powerful, attractive and sexually desirable to women. Hmmmm….maybe a red tie or a red shirt, just a thought.

3. Don’t forget to get to know her. In other words, don’t talk about yourself all night long! Honestly guys, this is the biggest turn-off and will destroy your chances of a second date. Lure her into a conversation about her hobbies, likes and dislikes, but stay away from sensitive questions involving religion or politics. Within a few moments I’m sure you will find some similarities you have and just go from there.

4. Don’t talk about old relationships. We all have exes and they are exes for a reason. Keep any reference or comment of an old flame out of the conversation. We are there to get to know you not your old girlfriend. Bringing her up in conversation will only indicate to us that you still have feelings for her. However, if your date questions you about a previous relationship, keep you comments genuine and short. This will let us know that you are over her and are ready to move on.

5. Don’t be rude. There is nothing worse than being on a date with a guy who can’t put his phone down. Do not take phone calls, return texts or answer emails while on a date! Guys, your date deserves your attention…be a respectable listener and you will gain her respect quickly.

6. Don’t forget your manners. Common courtesy, opening the door, helping with her coat, will signify that you are a gentleman. Such small actions will impress her in a big way…especially because her last date probably didn’t do it! A little compliment once in a while, telling her how nice she looks etc., is essential. Sadly, the days of chivalry have gone to the wayside. Let’s bring it back, guys.

Obviously, I can’t guarantee that abiding by this list will automatically win you that greatly desired second date. However, I can tell you that if you keep the date fun and light hearted your chances are magnified. Good Luck and Happy Dating!

Ok guys, while traveling recently I grabbed a Cosmopolitan magazine for the long 3 hour flight I had ahead of me.  A little side note quickly caught my attention.  It stated that a recent study, in the Journal of Evolutionary Biology, found that guys are actually more attracted to killer arms than sexy legs.  This absolutely stunned me and got me to thinking…what do women notice on men?  Having arrived to the airport three hours ahead of my flight time, I decided to do my own survey. 

I asked 94 women of all “shapes and sizes”, what is the first thing they notice on a man.  Forty-four of the women responded that a man’s smile is definitely the first thing they notice.  So guys, keep those pearly whites clean.  Keep in mind that along with a great smile comes fresh breath. Please don’t let us learn the hard way that you just ate onions, garlic or smoked a cigarette. 

Twenty-one ladies stated that they notice the way a man carries himself or how confident he is.  But don’t confuse confidence with arrogance, the later of which is a complete turn-off!  The ironic thing about an arrogant person is the fact that they are suffering from a lack of confidence.  Always make eye contact with a genuine smile and walk tall. 

The third thing noticed by fifteen of the ladies, was a man’s hand.  Don’t get all excited guys, this has nothing to do with the length of your thumbs!  Besides, there is no scientific evidence to prove that “theory” anyway.  Women want men who have strong hands with clean fingernails.  If we see that your nails have enough dirt underneath them to plant a small garden, then we are moving on.  We know some of you work tough jobs and are plagued with callused hands. Do your best to soften them and keep your nails filed.  There is nothing worse then being rubbed by a man with jagged fingernails and callused hands! 

Ten of the women I polled stated that smell was the top thing they noticed about a man.  Showers are an absolute necessity followed by cologne.  But guys, don’t shower yourselves in the cologne!  Nobody enjoys a cologne induced migraine. 

I was quite shocked that only four women mentioned eyes as the first thing they notice on a man.  We are not talking color or shape but rather what the eyes have to say…the eyes are the window to the soul.  If you are truly attracted to a woman than make sure you are looking into her eyes when speaking to her.  This will signal to her that you are interested. 

Before I go I must add my two cents to this list.  Of course the first thing a woman will notice on a man will be a physical characteristic, be it your eyes, hair or smile. The next thing we notice will be your character…who you are. There are plenty of good looking men in the world but who have ugly character. We are attracted to friendly, honest men who will show us respect.  Don’t pretend to be someone you’re not and above all Keep Smiling!!
